Form A in Dubai: the listing agreement
What Form A is, what it says and why a broker cannot advertise your property without it.
What Form A is
Form A is the listing agreement between the owner and the brokerage, in the format of the Dubai Land Department and RERA. It gives the brokerage the right to market and sell your property.
What it says
- The property and the owner
- The asking price
- The term of the agreement
- The brokerage fee and when it is paid — only after the sale
- Exclusive or not
Why it matters
A broker needs a signed Form A to receive the advertising permit for your property. A listing without it is not allowed — so Form A also protects you from unauthorised adverts.
Questions and answers
Do I have to sign an exclusive Form A?
No. An exclusive listing lets the brokerage invest more in the marketing, but the choice is yours.
