A will for a foreign property owner in Dubai
What a DIFC Courts will is, what it costs and why owners register one.
Why owners register a will
A registered will lets you decide who inherits your property in Dubai, instead of leaving the question to the court. For non-Muslim owners the DIFC Courts Wills Service registers such wills in English.
Types and official fees
| Will | What it covers | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Property will | Up to 5 properties in Dubai; can be done online | AED 7,500 (AED 10,000 for two spouses) |
| Full will | All assets in the UAE | AED 10,000 (AED 15,000 for two spouses) |
These are the fees of the DIFC Courts, checked in October 2026; a lawyer who drafts the will charges separately. We put you in touch with a lawyer after the purchase.
