Questions and answers
What happens to my property in Dubai without a will?
The inheritance goes by the law, which may differ from what you want. A registered will makes your decision binding.
Can a non-Muslim register a will in Dubai?
Yes — at the DIFC Courts Wills Service, including online.
Can someone buy or sell for me by a power of attorney?
Yes. The power of attorney must name the specific property and be notarised in the UAE, or attested abroad and translated into Arabic.
How do two people own one property?
The share of each owner is written in the title deed.
